1. Scope
These terms apply to the public Vigilant Life Support Training Academy (VLS) website and the student portal at courses.vlstrainingacademy.com. They explain how you may use our online services. In-person class arrangements, schedules, fees, and any cancellation terms will be confirmed separately before enrollment or payment. If a separate written enrollment agreement applies to a class, it controls that class where it differs from these website terms.
2. Current training offerings
VLS provides instructor-led life support training and CDPH-approved classroom continuing education topics under provider NAC #7359. The online course portal is being prepared for CDPH review. Its course pages, post-tests, course history, and printable sample documents are for review and demonstration only. Completing an online pilot course does not currently earn CE credit or produce a valid renewal certificate. We will identify any approved online offering separately if its status changes.
3. Accounts and accurate records
Portal users must use their own authorized account and provide accurate legal name, email, credential type, and certificate number when requested. Keep sign-in credentials secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not use another learner’s identity, complete work on someone else’s behalf, or share restricted test content or answer keys. VLS may limit portal access when reasonably needed to protect students, course records, or the service.
4. Learning materials and assessments
VLS course text, illustrations, videos, assessments, and website content are provided for your personal training and review. You may use them for your own learning but may not copy, sell, repost, or distribute course material or assessment questions without permission, except where law allows. Post-tests and affidavits must reflect your own participation and answers. Learning materials are educational; follow your employer’s policies, scope of practice, and current clinical guidance when providing care.
5. Prices, enrollment, and cancellations
The website does not currently offer online checkout or sell online CE credit. Contact VLS to ask about a classroom class, availability, and current price. Before accepting payment, VLS will provide the applicable class details, total price, payment instructions, and any cancellation or refund terms. Do not rely on another training provider’s prices or policies as VLS terms. Nothing here limits rights you may have under applicable law.
6. Certificates and course records
A classroom completion record or eCard, when applicable, depends on the specific class and its stated requirements. Online pilot progress, scores, affidavits, and printable sample certificates are not proof of approved online CE credit and must not be used for certification renewal. If your profile or training record appears incorrect, contact VLS so we can review it.
7. Acceptable use and outside services
Do not interfere with the website, attempt to access other students’ accounts, upload malicious code, scrape restricted materials, or send abusive or unlawful messages. Links to outside websites and optional videos are provided for convenience; their content and policies are controlled by their respective providers. Sign-in, email, and hosting may also rely on third-party services.
8. Privacy and changes
Our privacy policy explains how we handle website inquiries and student portal records. VLS may update these terms as its classes and online services change. We will post the updated date here; changes apply going forward and do not change an existing paid class agreement without its own terms or applicable law.
